1. The color of the gold-plated layer of the connector is abnormal and the gold-plated liquid is aging:
If the gold plating solution is used for too long and too many impurities are accumulated in the gold plating solution, it will definitely cause the abnormal color of the gold plating layer.
2. The gold-plated raw material of the connector has impurities and the current density is too large:
When the chemical materials added to the gold plating solution bring in impurities that exceed the standard of the gold plating solution, it will affect the brightness and color of the gold plating layer.
If it is an organic impurity, it will also affect the phenomenon of blooming and darkening of the gold plating layer.
If the current during gold plating is too large, or the value is larger than the actual surface area due to an error in the calculation of the total area of the aqueduct parts, it will cause some of the gold-plated layer to have rough crystals and the gold-plated layer to turn red.
3. The alloy content of the connector has changed in the hard gold plating.
When the nickel content in the gold plating solution is too high, the color of the gold plating layer will become lighter, and if the cobalt content in the gold plating solution is too high, the color of the gold layer will turn reddish.
In order to improve the wear resistance and hardness of the connector, hard gold plating is generally used when gold plating the connector, because gold-cobalt alloy and gold-nickel alloy are used more.
